Species-specific positive and negative control BaseScope™ probes are needed to run with human or mouse control slides for technique quality control check and with your test sample for RNA quality control check.
ACD provides BaseScope™ positive control probes that target the PPIB gene and BaseScope™ negative control probes that target the bacterial DapB gene.
Since BaseScope target probes can vary in length between 1 and 4 ZZ, we have designed a control probe kit to suit all BaseScope applications. It is important that the appropriate length control probe matches your target probe. Control probe packs are offered for human and mouse species. Each pack contains 1ZZ positive and negative control probes for BaseScope target probes that are 1 to 2 ZZ in length, as well as 3ZZ positive and negative control probes for BaseScope target probes that are 3ZZ or more in length. It is recommended that you use the 3ZZ control probes with all target probes that could vary in probe lengths of 2-4 ZZs. Control probes for different species and for POLR2A in lengths of 3ZZ or 1ZZ are also available separately.
