Angiostasis mediated by IFNγ is a key mechanism of anti-tumor immunity; however, the effect of IFNγ on host VEGFA-expressing cells during tumor progression is still elusive. Here, we developed transgenic mice with IFNγ receptor (IFNγR) expression under control of the Vegfa promoter (V-γR). In these mice, the IFNγ responsiveness of VEGFA -expressing cells led to a dramatic growth suppression of transplanted lung carcinoma cells.

Endomyocarditis (EMC) and left ventricular endomyocardial fibrosis (LVEF), clinically known as “endomyocardial restrictive cardiomyopathy,” are important feline heart diseases suspected to have an infectious etiology.

Tissue expression and source of circulating αKlotho.

αKlotho (Klotho), a type I transmembrane protein and a coreceptor for Fibroblast growth factor-23, was initially thought to be expressed only in a limited number of tissues, most importantly the kidney, parathyroid gland and choroid plexus.
