Seminars at Univeristy of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Phildadelphia
Speakers and Presentations:
- Combined IHC and RNA ISH to elucidate tumor molecular heterogeneity
Nallasivam Palanisamy, Ph.D, Associate Scientist/Professor at Henry Ford Health System, Associate Professor (Adjunct) at University of Michigan
- Current state-of-the-art tissue-based RNA analysis with RNAscope™ Technology
Courtney Anderson, Ph.D, Group Leader Applications, Advanced Cell Diagnostics, Inc.
RNAscope™ assay is a proprietary RNA in situ hybridization (ISH) assay based on ACD patented signal amplification and background suppression technology which advances RNA biomarker analysis in tissues and cells.
Using RNAscope™ assay you can:
- Detect single RNA molecule at single-cell resolution in a single-day
- Asses splice variants, highly homologous sequences, lncRNA, and targets lacking IHC antibodies
- Analyze tumor heterogeneity using Dual ISH-IHC and Multiplex assays
This enables researchers to visualize genes that are expressed, localize where they are expressed in any complex tissue from any species. The RNAscope™ technology is proven and published in over 900 publications in various research areas such as neuroscience, immuno-oncology, infectious disease and stem cell. This technology is commonly used for dual ISH-IHC analysis, RNA-Seq validation, single-cell analysis, and recently introduce BaseScope™ assay makes detection of exon junctions and highly homologous targets also possible.
During this session, Dr. Nalla Palanisamy will present his work on prostate cancer and discuss how RNA ISH has been successfully applied to his research. Courtney Anderson will demonstrate how this technology provides unique biological information and has been used in a multitude of research areas - cancer, neuroscience, gene therapy and more.
