Outline:

The RNAscope in situ hybridization (ISH) technology provides a powerful method to detect gene expression within the spatial and morphological tissue context. The proprietary probe design in combination with advanced signal amplification enables robustly high signal-to-noise and allows for the detection of gene transcripts at the single molecule level with single-cell resolution.

Now, this webcast will present the miRNAscope Assay, an advanced in situ hybridization platform that allows for highly specific and sensitive visualization of small RNA species expression with single-cell resolution.

Learning Objectives:
  • The miRNAscope technology and workflow
  • Detecting miRNAs implicated in cancer and distinguishing multiple members from the same family
  • Functional information provided by identifying cell-type specific miRNAs in the brain
  • Visualizing synthetic oligonucleotides such as small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and anti-sense oligonucleotides (ASOs) that can target specific genes and regulate their expression
